Privacy Policy
This document explains, in plain English, what data PrimeXSport collects when you visit primexsportgames.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over your information.
1. Who we are
PrimeXSport (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website primexsportgames.com as a curated guide to free-to-play military video games. The site is run from 31-32 Hope St, Crook DL15 9HU, United Kingdom and is editorially maintained by Valda Nielsen. The contact point for any data-related question is [email protected].
2. What information we collect
We deliberately collect as little personal data as we can get away with. There is no user account, no newsletter pop-up, and no behavioural advertising network embedded in the page. The data we do touch falls into three buckets.
2.1 Information you give us directly
When you fill in the contact form on the home page, you supply us with three things: a name (or callsign), an email address, and a free-text message. This data is sent to our editorial inbox so we can reply to you. We do not use it for marketing, do not sell it, and do not share it with third parties beyond what is technically required to deliver email (our mailbox provider, Proton AG).
3.2 Information collected automatically
Like any web server, our hosting provider logs basic request data for security and performance: IP address, user-agent string, the URL you requested, a timestamp, and the HTTP referrer. These logs are retained for up to 14 days and are not used to profile individuals.
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies
PrimeXSport sets one functional cookie that remembers whether you have dismissed the cookie banner. We do not set any tracking, advertising, or profiling cookies of our own. Third-party content embedded in the page (Google Maps on the contact section, Google Fonts) may set its own cookies and is governed by the privacy policy of that third party.
3. Why we process your data
We process the limited data above on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), depending on your location:
- Performance of a service — answering the message you sent us through the contact form.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the site secure, preventing abuse, and maintaining basic server logs.
- Consent — for the non-essential third-party services that may be loaded after you dismiss the cookie banner.
4. How long we keep your data
Contact-form messages are retained for as long as is necessary to handle the conversation, plus a 12-month grace period. After that they are deleted from the inbox. Anonymised server logs are kept for 14 days, then rotated. If you ask us to delete your message earlier, we will do so within 30 days.
5. Affiliate / partner links
The “Play now” buttons on this site point to partner programs operated by the game publishers themselves (Wargaming.net, Gaijin Entertainment, Targem Games) and to associated tracking domains. When you click one of these links, the partner program may set its own tracking cookie on its domain. PrimeXSport does not see the data they collect; we only receive an aggregated commission report if a download eventually happens. We never sell or rent the messages you send us.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only with the small list of service providers required to run the site:
- Our web hosting provider (server logs).
- Proton AG (the inbox that receives your contact-form messages).
- Google LLC (only when you interact with the Google Maps embed or load Google Fonts).
We do not sell or otherwise transfer your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any analytics company.
7. International transfers
Because we are based in the United Kingdom but target Canadian readers, your data may travel between the UK, Switzerland (Proton’s servers), the European Economic Area, and Canada. Each of these jurisdictions has been recognised by the UK and EU as offering an adequate level of data protection, or is covered by the appropriate transfer safeguards under the UK GDPR and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
You have several rights over the personal data we hold about you. Depending on your jurisdiction, these include:
- The right to request a copy of the data we hold (right of access).
- The right to ask us to correct inaccurate data (right of rectification).
- The right to ask us to delete data we no longer need (right of erasure).
- The right to object to processing on the grounds of legitimate interests.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our legal basis.
- The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] with “privacy request” in the subject line.
9. Children
PrimeXSport is not aimed at children under the age of 13. Several of the games featured carry official age ratings of 16+ or 18+ in their respective regions; you are responsible for ensuring the content is appropriate for any minor in your care. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS using modern TLS configurations. Contact-form submissions are delivered to an end-to-end encrypted Proton inbox. No system on the public internet is perfectly secure, but we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the small volume of data we process.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time — typically when adding new services, when the law changes, or when our editorial processes change. Material changes will be flagged on the home page banner. The “last updated” date at the top of this document always reflects the current version.
12. Contact
For any privacy-related question, write to us at [email protected] or by post to: PrimeXSport, 31-32 Hope St, Crook DL15 9HU, United Kingdom.
